David L. Schwartz, M.D.

Dr. David L. Schwartz is a respected ophthalmologist and eye surgeon who specializes in the treatment of eye disorders in adults and children. Dr. Schwartz employs a team of highly trained technicians and utilizes the most advanced techniques to treat eye conditions. Dr. Schwartz provides complete medical eye examinations, including vision assessment and refraction for glasses, glaucoma evaluations and treatment, medical treatment of eye diseases and injuries, consultations, and second opinions. Dr. Schwartz offers state-of-the-art surgical techniques in the area of cataract surgery and intraocular lens replacement. Laser treatments are utilized in the treatment of after-cataracts and glaucoma.

Dr. Schwartz is a native of New York City. He received his undergraduate degree in three years, from the University of Rochester, and his Medical Degree from the University of Pittsburgh at the age of 23. Dr. Schwartz was a resident in internal medicine at Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh before completing his ophthalmology residency at the University of Oklahoma, School of Medicine, Dean McGee Eye Institute. Dr. Schwartz has been in private practice in Tulsa since 1976.

Dr. Schwartz is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the Oklahoma State Medical Association, Tulsa County Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He is an associate clinical professor at the University of Oklahoma Tulsa Medical School.

Dr. Schwartz is married with three children, one granddaughter and one grandson. He loves to golf, travel internationally, and enjoys astronomy, baseball and hockey.
